PhaSona Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-07-07

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and PhaSona ("we", "us") covering your use of the PhaSona website, web app, and mobile apps (the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What PhaSona is — and is not

PhaSona provides light-and-sound sessions for relaxation and personal rituals. It is a general wellness product.

PhaSona is a general wellness app for relaxation and personal rituals. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate any disease or medical condition. Do not use PhaSona while driving, operating machinery, standing, or supervising others. Stop immediately if you feel discomfort, dizziness, nausea, eye strain, headache, anxiety, or unusual symptoms.

PhaSona does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or care of any kind, and nothing in the Service should be read as a medical claim. If you have any health concerns, talk with a qualified professional before using light- or sound-based experiences.

3. Safety

Your safety choices matter more than anything else in these terms:

Some people may be sensitive to flashing or patterned light. Do not use visual modes if you have photosensitive epilepsy, a seizure history, unexplained blackouts, migraines triggered by light, or if a clinician has advised you to avoid flashing lights. The default PhaSona visual modes are designed to be gentle and low-risk, but no light-based experience can be guaranteed safe for everyone.

Binaural audio effects require stereo headphones. Keep volume comfortable and never use the app at painful or unsafe levels.

You agree to review the in-app safety information before using sessions with visuals, to use the Service only in a safe setting (seated or lying down, never while driving, operating machinery, standing, or supervising others), and to stop immediately if you feel unwell. Audio-only mode is always available if visuals are not right for you.

4. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and for what happens under your account. You may use the Service anonymously; if you later create a full account, your anonymous data is carried over.

5. Private beta

The Service is currently offered as a private beta. Features may change, break, or be removed while we build; we will communicate meaningful changes. Beta access is free and is not a promise of future pricing.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service. In particular, do not attempt to bypass safety limits or security rules, probe or disrupt the infrastructure, use the Service to harm yourself or others, copy or resell the Service, or upload unlawful content through feedback channels.

7. Your content and feedback

Anything you submit through feedback and reports stays yours, but you give us permission to use it to operate and improve the Service. We may use anonymized, aggregated insights from feedback in our work.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including session designs, generated audio and visual systems, copy, and branding — belongs to PhaSona and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own wellness rituals. That license ends if these terms end.

9. Fees

The private beta is free. If we introduce paid tiers later, we will present pricing clearly before you pay anything, and starter sessions will remain free.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard on reliability, but we do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, and we make no promises about personal outcomes from using it. Wellness experiences are personal; what helps one person may do nothing for another.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PhaSona will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, during the free beta, is zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Ending things

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from settings or by emailing support@phasona.com; deletion removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the effective date above and, for meaningful changes, notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
