The short version

PhaSona is a light-and-sound meditation app. We collect the minimum we need to run it, we never sell your data, your session history is yours, and you can export or delete everything at any time. Questions? Email support@phasona.com.

Who we are

PhaSona ("we", "us") provides light-and-sound sessions for calm, focus, and wind-down rituals through our website, web app, and mobile apps (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account information. If you create an account: your email address and an optional display name. You can also use PhaSona anonymously; anonymous accounts have no email attached.
• Preferences. Your app settings, such as visual intensity, reduce-motion, volume, and safety acknowledgement status, so they follow you across devices.
• Session history. Which sessions you ran, when, for how long, and any rating or comfort note you choose to leave. This history exists so you can see your own rituals — it is private to your account.
• Feedback and reports. Anything you send us through feedback forms, comfort reports, or safety reports, so we can respond and improve the sessions.
• Basic usage analytics. Optional, aggregated events (for example, "a session was completed") that help us understand which sessions people find useful. Analytics never include the content of your notes.
• Technical basics. Device type, app version, and coarse diagnostic information needed to keep the Service working.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect health records, and we do not ask for medical history beyond optional, on-device safety questions whose answers are never transmitted to us.
• We do not log the text of journal or mood notes in analytics or crash reports.
• We do not collect precise location.
• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

How we use your information

We use your information to run the Service, sync your preferences and history across your devices, respond to your feedback and safety reports, keep the Service reliable and secure, and understand — in aggregate — how sessions are used so we can improve them. That is the whole list.

Analytics and your choices

• Opt out any time. Settings include an analytics opt-out; when it is on, analytics events are dropped on your device and never sent.
• Private mode. When private mode is on, session runs stay on your device and are not synced to your account.
• Both choices take effect immediately and apply on every platform.

Where your data lives

PhaSona runs on Google Firebase (Google Cloud). Your data is stored in Google Cloud data centers and protected by Firebase security rules so that only your authenticated account can read your own data.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers that run our infrastructure (such as Google Firebase), only as needed to operate the Service, and with anyone you explicitly ask us to share it with. We may disclose information if the law genuinely requires it. We never sell it.

Your rights: access, export, correction, and deletion

You are in control of your data, wherever you live:

• Access and export. You can request a complete, portable copy of your data — account details, preferences, session history, and feedback — from settings or by emailing support@phasona.com.
• Correction. You can fix your account details in the app, or ask us to.
• Deletion. You can delete your account and all associated data from settings or by emailing support@phasona.com. Deletion is permanent; we remove your data from our systems and confirm when it is done.

We respond to export and deletion requests within 30 days, and usually much faster.

Data retention

We keep your data only while your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your data. Anonymous accounts that stay unused for an extended period may be cleaned up automatically. Aggregated, de-identified statistics (which contain nothing about you personally) may be retained.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: encrypted connections, Firebase security rules that isolate each account's data, and least-privilege access for our own tooling. No system is perfectly secure, but we design so that a mistake exposes as little as possible.

Children

PhaSona is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact support@phasona.com and we will delete it.

International users

Wherever you use PhaSona from, the rights above — access, export, correction, deletion — are available to you. If your local law grants you additional rights, we honor those too.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
